Crap games have some of the widest house edge spreads of any casino game. On the good end you have no house edge on the odds bets and just 1.41% on the Pass Line. On the bad end you have house edges over 10% such as on bets such like the Proposition 2 and 12.
For example, supposed your favorite casino allows up to 5x Odds, and suppose you make a $5 flat Pass Line bet. In this example, the maximum amount of Odds you can bet is $25 (i.e., 5 x your $5 Pass bet = $25 in Odds). Let’s see if you’re paying attention. Suppose the casino allows up to 25x Odds and you make a $7 Pass Line bet. Odds bets are made available to players backing the Pass Line or Don’t Pass Line bets, so in effect anybody can get in on the action. And as I’ll cover a little later on, Odds bets can also be added to the Come and Don’t Come bets, making them an integral aspect of any good craps player’s arsenal. Imagine a craps player who takes maximum odds, say 10x, on his pass line and come bets reducing the house edge to 0.18%. He avoids other bets that give the house a bigger edge. He is an 'astute' right bettor in every way except this: he is determined to lose. The 6 and 8 pay out 6:5 or $6 for every $5 wagered. 5 and 9 pay out 3:2. 4 and 10 pay out 2:1 odds. Note that these payouts are only for the odds bet. The original Pass/Come line bet will still be paid 1:1 if it wins. I will explain the bet using the image below. First I made a pass line bet and the shooter rolled a 4 on the come out roll.
Pass Line: 4 or 10, pays 2/1 with a house edge of 4.76%. Why choose this bet in craps? Pass line odds are decent, and you avoid dealing with a large house edge. Craps: 2 or 12, one of the most fun bets to place with a 30/1 payout. Only for true gamblers.

* Note About the Odds Bets
Odds On Pass Line Bet
While the house edge is in fact zero for the odds bet there is of course a catch in the fact that you have to have made a Pass Line or Don't Pass Line bet to be able to make the bet. The actual house edge on the combined bets is determined by the amount you can bet on the odds.
Pass Line Odds Payout
Typically online you will only find 3X odds which makes the combined house edge on the Pass Line Odds 0.47% and for the Don't Pass Odds 0.34%. The higher the multiple you can bet on the odds the lower the house edge so for example a game with 100X odds has a house edge of just 0.02%. High noon casino bonus.
